What do black French people have in common? Not much, apart from their skin color and the racism they experience. For the first time, the film "Noirs en France" gives the stage to black French people of all ages and from all backgrounds, known or unknown to the general public. Told by the writer Alain Mabanckou, this documentary retraces their stories, anchored in prejudices and stereotypes, but also filled with hope and pride. These blacks in France build a history in constant transformation.

Actress and director Yolande Moreau turns her gaze to the refugee camps in Calais and Grande-Synthe through the story of a 28-year-old Kurdish man who dreams of reaching England. The fifth guest filmmaker in ARTE Reportage Réfugiés' multimedia series, Yolande Moreau spent ten days in the jungles of Calais and Grande-Synthe in January 2016. She returned with a documentary film that alternates between interviews conducted in the field and texts written by Laurent Gaudé and read by the actress and director. Following Régis Wargnier in Nepal, Pierre Schoeller in Iraq, Agnès Merlet in Lebanon, and Claire Denis in Chad, Yolande Moreau offers a personal work. Neither reportage nor documentary, in this deliberate middle ground, she takes us on a thirty-minute journey to "Nowhere, in France."

Mariana doesn’t like her name and starts calling herself Gloria. Her parents split up before she was one year old and today, like many separated couples, they are brought back together under the same roof only because they don’t have a decent job. Cristina, her mother, rents a part of the house to her ex-husband for a bit of extra money. “Francia” talks about those people who will never travel far from their home, where they take refuge, for good or bad, from all disgusting things in the outside world. Meanwhile, Mariana puts on her headphones when she hears her parents fighting. Those fights which now serve as a relief to the helpless.

Richard is a police investigator who hasn't seen his daughter Lily for very long time. The series starts when Lily shows up at his door and asks for help. She tells him that she fell in love with judge Kowalský but he attacked her and she killed him in self-defense. He decides to help her at all cost. Richard becomes lead investigator in case of Kowalský's murder.

A stranger who wanders to a desolate farm is captured and accused of arson. If the man is guilty, it would be fitting to judge over his life right there. But what if the man is innocent?
